street food, blue corn tostados with cactus and coriander, zuchini blossom and queso tortilla, and doughnuts.
we have been walking through the museum park a lot and can´t help but notice how many eucalyptus trees there are. and it reminds us of home, 2 more sleeps. we also bought some lucha libre masks in the park.

back in mexico city. we have been museuming. zar was in heaven at the kids museum, with a mini sized supermarket, playdough, ambulances, fire engines, static electricity, over sized hamster wheel, gyroscopic drawings....

it is amazing that you can get on a bus, travel for a few hours and arrive at a totally different climate. san cristobal is cold. we are in the hills of chiapas, wearing all the clothes that we own. picturesque here, tradition costumes colourful embroidery surrounding us. organic coffee and banana muffins, zapatista dolls and hot chocolate. six more sleeps.

and another baby boy for us to meet in melbourne, congrats masha and jerry.

an anniversary art work purchaced, some supplies from walmart, a walk along sculpture calle and it is time to go.

today is mexican idependence day, it is also our 9th anniversary. happy happy to us! next year for our 10th we are going to get married. so there you have it a whole years notice for those of you needing to make travel arrangements.

we have been staying in an old hacienda, rambling and airy, tonight we are sleeping on a bus, ´'luxury' class with a video. will be interesting, zar is excited.

we found a park that stretched out bigger than you could imagine, with a train, zoo, aquarium, jumping castles, balloons, painting, icecream. zar was in heaven! and was so tired that he fell asleep as we walked home. we took the opportunity to sneak into a canteena. sipping our sol and nibling on our complementary plates of colurful food, till a fist fight broke out and we were on our way.

merida closes down on sunday, the streets are filled with markets, music and food. we wandered around, went to the zoo, chased pigeons, ate pancakes and went to a mexican mass in a 16th century church.
