we have been to queens, brooklyn, manhattan, and staten.....zar is singing beastie boys. zar is fascinated by the traffic lights, here instead of a green and red man they have a red hand for stop and a white man to go, at every block zar screams 'look!', and every block is just as amazing!

pumkins everywhere! union square farmers market pumkin muffins and a soy latte.

we heart new york
very cold here and we have morphed into new yorkers. we went to the gap and bought zar 'the warmest jacket' and now he no longer needs to be wrapped in the courtesy blanket from british air. thanks to heaven's generous hospitality we are perched fashionably in chelsea, strolling distance to everything. bagels for brunch, soccer in centeral park, moma, the gug, the met, ps1 museum feet...

berlin...is cold like melbourne winter, cool like fitzroy without the good coffee. we have all purchased hats, hoodies, scarves and thermals in an effort to keep warm. ricky is eating curryworst, zar waffles (but but he sometimes calls them falafals) and zoe is a fan of the museli.

happy birthday omi! i bet that you never thought that your great grand son would be kicking autumn leaves in innsbruker strasse.

leonard cohen said first we take manhatan then we take berlin, but we are doing it in reverse.....big apple here we come

venice, chasing pigeons in st marks square, running wildly down the maze of canals and alleys, boat rides, bellinis at harry's bar, peggy gugenheims house zar pointing out a jackson pollack...berlin bound....

cinque terra, a unesco world heritage listed national park in north italy. cliff top walking trails, rock climbing, andy goldsworthy play, enotecas full of pesto, anchovies, torta al nonna, ligurian olives, crisp local wines and sunshine.

we couldn't visit italy without a token pose in front of pisa...

florence, uffizi, long queues, but we took it in turns playing and doing the coffee run until we were walking inside. halls full of art. we looked, zar with a keen eye out for venus. we found her and lots of angels that looked just like zar.

...you know that we have been having lots of fun when our blogging becomes less frequent. more picnics, panforte, pigeons and playing. oh tuscany...
